Milo is currently busying himself with ordering one too many custom guitars in order to distract himself from being too excited during a burst of creativity. Eager to usher in a new style of music that falls in line with some of the darker feelings he’s been holding on to, Milo has taken to penning tabs for complicated riffs with the hope he can lend his skills to a band someday.

personality

Milo is surprisingly soft spoken. Every bit of his boisterous ways show in his behavior - it’s difficult for him to hide his expressions or body language, even when his words are polite. At a glance, he's calm and optimistic, but there's a bit of recklessness buzzing beneath his poised demeanor. Milo is sensitive and eager to please. He tries his best to be supportive and kind, but a snarky quip here and there is not beneath him. He’s notably clueless if a topic isn’t related to music or plants. He takes great care with the things he loves (and note that there are many, no matter how simple they may be), and although he may be clumsy on the battlefield, he's surprisingly graceful outside of it. Milo usually has his head in the clouds, but he's always willing to lend an ear (or his favorite necklace - you need only ask).

(bad) habits

Although he may give the impression that he’s confident with his hair-flipping and unintentionally sultry side-glances, his insecurities lie in his wish to feel valued as an entire person - allowing others to see every side of him is very difficult. He hesitates to speak his mind in fear of sounding uneducated, and is self conscious about his voice and accent. He’s of the belief that alcohol gives him confidence, if not the ability to see things for what they are instead of what he wants them to be, and has a brief history of overindulging to do away with unbearable feelings. At heart, he still sees himself as the quiet farm boy with goats and sunflowers for friends, and curses himself for his occasional inability to catch on at times.

romance

Milo is a romantic who fantasizes often about being special to someone, but that doesn’t extend to his day-to-day life as he’s rather promiscuous. He’s not relationship-avoidant, but he’d rather someone else define things so that he doesn’t get his hopes up. His ‘type’ is difficult to pin down, as there are rather random combinations of traits he finds favorable in others. His love language is physical touch, but he'd rather you use your words first. He prefers being pursued and rarely strays from being submissive.

appearance

Milo is of average Elezen height and build, with feathered white-blonde hair and aquamarine colored eyes. He often braids gold or silver thread into his hair for decoration. Smudged kohl liner, cake mascara, turquoise nail varnish, and honey salve are his go-to for makeup. He treasures a small collection of jewelry, and has a number of piercings in both of his ears as well as elsewhere on his body. He prefers aesthetics over functionality for casual wear, and his personal wardrobe mostly consists of tunics of varying lengths, blouses with billowing sleeves, as well as skirts, tight pants, and tall boots. Large hats are his favorite accessory to collect. It’s not uncommon to see him in more revealing clothing.

hobbies

Milo's primary hobby and side hustle is music. He is a talented lyrist and harpsichordist, but is also skilled with the harp and the lute - and more recently, has focused on the guitar (which he plays most often). It's not uncommon for him to hum to himself when he's alone, or quickly scribble down a melody on a spare piece of parchment when the mood strikes him. He loves to play for others, but unlike most bards, he does not sing.His secondary hobby is gardening. Milo has a great appreciation for what nature has to offer, and his green thumb is not a result of luck but a steady foundation of helping out on his father's farm. It may be odd to say he considers plants friends, but he never hesitates to speak to them as such and his home is filled with more potted plants than he can count. If he needs alone time, he can usually be found in the Twelveswood foraging for various things.Likewise, he has above average skills in the kitchen. Milo is a vegetarian and enjoys both cooking and baking.

There's nothing like climbing flimsy trees and clutching crumbling handholds just to get a hold of some rare fungi or flower - or even accidentally trespassing into someone's camp while distracted with his foraged goods. A full moon, a chill in the air - perhaps it would do him some good to have a reason to watch where he's going... But so should you.

in the library...

To put it gently, his reading skills aren't that great. Whether it's a children's fairytale or an old memoir (with a dictionary in his other hand), he's trying his best! If you've any recommendations, there's never a bad time to offer him a break from thinking too hard. He's also a volunteer at the library, so if you're looking for something in particular... he knows who to ask!

at the inn…

Too excited to stand still for long, Milo can be found in a variety of inns, as long as they also have a bar and a place for a bard such as he. Often a stand-in bartender outside of gig nights, Milo is newly fond of the guitar and very eager to find people to jam with. His versatility in styles lends him to be able to fill many roles as long as his cup is filled with mead. Do be sure to interrupt him flirting with a bar patron, or that fingering technique on warm strings that he can’t seem to get right just yet - the dark aura that accompanies it may need some adjustments before you both run off to start a band together.

general roles

Apothecary employee, chirurgeon-in-training, musician, ballroom dancer, conjurer who can hear elementals. Can usually be found wherever there are plenty of flowers and edible plants.

Hi! I'm Sugo (they/them), 29. I'm still new to roleplaying in FFXIV. I'm pretty open to in-game and Discord RP but the latter two are easier for me since I can respond in a more timely manner. I would prefer to RP with folk who are at least 25 years old. Darker/adult themes are generally okay, but I'd love to talk things through beforehand to have an idea of where you'd like things to go! My character is multi-ship friendly, so romance type roleplay is okay!
